The Harlem Fine Arts Show, the largest traveling African Diasporic art show in the country, is running a virtual exhibition featuring the work of over 60 renowned black artists and galleries from all around the world. Just a few of the artists being featured include Ademola Olugebefola, Otto Neals, Roederick Vines, John Pinderhughes, Danny Simmons, Glenn Tunstull, and Frank Frazier. The galleries included in the show are diverse as well, ranging from the Spence Gallery in Canada to the Soweto Fine Art Gallery in South Africa.
The Harlem Fine Arts Show of 2021 features over 1,200 works of art, valued at over 100 million dollars. The show partnered with Online Viewing Room, a virtual platform that produces digital shows across the globe in locations such as Paris, the Hamptons, etc. The cutting-edge VR technology creates a simulated art fair environment that users can navigate the same way they’d do through a physical show. It even creates a direct customer relationship by displaying high-resolution images of the artwork and including a ‘buy now’ option for those who want to own a piece from the show.
In addition to the exhibit, there will be a series of art talks, VIP experiences, and other events throughout the show’s run. In regard to the 2021 show, Dion Clarke, Founder of the Harlem Fine Arts Show, had this to say, “We are pushing the envelope in support of African Diasporic artists during these challenging times when they are not able to be in front of collectors… In our current climate, where awareness of the Black aesthetic is top of mind across the globe, it is imperative for us to reinvent the way we engage with multi-cultural artists utilizing today’s technology.”
The exhibition will run through Saturday, July 31st, 2021, and will be available for viewing 24 hours per day.
