Hipcamp, a marketplace for finding and reserving unique camping sites, recently announced its picks for top “electric vehicle-ready road trips.”

Classic American Roadtrip Routes for Electric Vehicles

The press release was created in partnership with Subaru of America and includes pet- and family-friendly accommodations, EV charging stations, and more. The trips include more popular routes, such as Highway 1 in California and Route 66, as well as lesser-known paths and more remote destinations.

“Our mission at Hipcamp is to get more people outside. With our new collection of routes that prioritize EV-charging opportunities, we hope to make it simpler than ever to plan your next outdoor adventure,” Alyssa Ravasi, the founder and CEO of Hipcamp, shared in a statement. “We are here to make your camp experience all the better and have shared some of our top points of interest and national parks.”

The recently released itineraries include trips such as the Olympic Peninsula route, which starts in Seattle and ends at Kalaloch Beach. They also include a trip that begins at Shenandoah National Park and goes through the Smoky Mountains, called the Blue Ridge Parkway route.

In addition to being sustainable, these trips are also excellent for national park lovers. The list also includes Utah’s Mighty 5 itinerary, which begins in Moab and drives through all of Utah’s national parks. The Sierra Nevada route includes Yosemite National Park and Kings Canyon National Park.

For electric vehicle owners who want to see some of our nation’s greatest wonders, the Grand Canyon State route begins in Flagstaff and takes adventurers through Sedona, the Grand Canyon, and Antelope Canyon, ending in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park.

“At Subaru, we believe everyone deserves access to the outdoors and all the beauty it has to offer,” Alan Bethke, the senior vice president of marketing at Subaru, said in a statement. “We are excited to be partnering with Hipcamp to provide a resource that can help drivers and their friends and family to explore.”
