What to Expect

The tradeshow welcomes some heavy hitters to startups that are hungry to spread their products.

One major company that will be in attendance is Toyota. The Japanese car manufacturer is set to share details about Woven and Woven City. Woven is the mobility technology subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation. The company said, “Our mission is to deliver safe, intelligent, human-centered mobility for all.”

Toyota is building a prototype city called The Woven City in Japan to test new technologies in a real-world setting. It will span 175 acres at the base of Mt. Fuji. According to the company, the city “will be a fully connected ecosystem powered by hydrogen fuel cells.”

The company announced the project in 2020, and it will provide an update about the city during the CES media day on Monday, January 6.

Other big names in attendance are Samsung and Nvidia, both of which will speak during the Monday media day.

Trends

Artificial intelligence is one of the biggest pieces of technology on everyone’s mind, inside and outside of CES. The tradeshow will feature several companies that are experts in AI. TWT will have a feature interview with the company IRVINEi to learn more about their AI assistant, which is known as OVAL.

Robotics is another major topic of discussion, with a handful of companies in attendance. In addition to the heavy hitters, like Boston Dynamics, we look forward to featuring some companies you may be unaware of. For example, we will have a feature interview with robotics company Aiper to chat about their new line of Smart Yard Robots.

Humanoid robots are another innovation that has made headlines. TWT will examine French startup Pollen Robotics’ new humanoid robot, Reachy 2.

Furthermore, a big wave of smart wearables is being released. We will get a look at the world’s first smart ring powered by AI, Luna Ring, from Indian smartwatch company Noise.

The Numbers

Last year, there were over 4,300 exhibitors, and it’s expected to feature around the same number this year. In 2024, over 140,000 people attended. There is technology from a wide variety of industries that we can’t wait to discover. We will keep you informed on these innovations all week.
