At a time when many industries are attempting to reduce their carbon footprint, the popular Netflix series Bridgerton released a ‘Sustainability Tour’ highlighting how they’re making the filming process more eco-friendly.
The beloved duo of Queen Charlotte and Brimsley, who are also featured on the acclaimed spin-off Queen Charlotte, take the audience on a behind-the-scenes tour showcasing the show’s sustainability initiatives.

For example, all of the trailers and technical trucks on the set of season 3 were powered by hydrogen power units, whose only byproduct is clean drinking water. Unlike their diesel generator alternatives, these units don’t produce any fumes.
The two actors, Golda Rosheuvel and Hugh Sachs, demonstrate the generator’s capabilities by using its power to make themselves a cup of one of their own Bridgerton teas. Additionally, solar panels power everything on set, from the lights to the cameras.
“Our power comes from 100% green energy sources”, stated Queen Charlotte actress Golda Rosheuvel.
To further reduce their carbon footprint, the catering services on set don’t include any beef options as the meat industry creates such a high quantity of emissions worldwide. Instead, the Bridgerton set is catered with a series of vegan, vegetarian, fish, and poultry options.
Additionally, they recycle, compost, and donate any access food to several organizations, distributing it to local communities.
Finally, to transport the beloved characters to, from, and around their regency-themed set in London, the team employs the use of hybrid and electric vehicles. As these vehicles are utilized as often as possible, the Bridgerton set has a series of EV charging stations.
